Chardham Tour Feedback
This is in lieu of the questionnaire that you wanted filled at the end of our trip.
At first thank you ery much for your help in organizing the tour for us at short notice.
We are happy and satisfied that we were able to visit all the places and have Darshan as per our broad schedule despite inclement weather during the first few days.
Santosh is an excellent driver and has been very helpful all the way through.
Anurag who was with us during most of our trip was very resourceful and had good contacts to get the helicopter to Kedarnath organized and to arrange for the Aarti at Badrinath...at short notice.
He is knowledgeable about the places and their history, and was willing to answer our questions.
My wife has communicated to him one of our observations...the need to alert people like us if an interesting spot is nearing few minutes in advance so that we can either request a stop or get the cameras ready to click some pictures..
He was willing to make stops at our request though they were not explicitly in the programme(e.g. Dev Prayag)...For your information, such stops should be included in the programme, as they are part and parcel of the 'yatras..it is possible to include them within the given time frame..
Brijesh who was with us at Haridwar and Rishikesh is very knowledgeable and fluent in English with views that are modern...
Anjit at your Hardwar office was very helpful in sorting out hotel issues...and in getting my son and daughter-in-law on the phone to talk to us when they were trying to reach us. My son in his e-mail to me was very appreciative of the help they received..especially in getting us connected by phone...
As for the hotels most were satisfactory...
Char Dham Camp was excellent. Staff were very helpful and courteous...food was excellent...
Villa Aadhya at Guptakashi too was very good. Courteous staff and good food..
Some ..not all...of the staff at Monal resort. Including at the restaurant were not polite...were rather rude...
South Indian food at Sarovar Portico Dehradun was so bad we chose mostly north Indian cuisine rest of the way....which was good in all restaurants..
In general we had very good experience and are satisfied.....the politeness and helpfulness shown to us made the trip enjoyable. Except for a few aberrations that I noted above..
Finally, do you organize trips to Kailas and Manasarovar?..if you do let me know.
